ELET3120 (EL31L) – COMMUNICATIONS CIRCUITS
Course will be delivered by Peter Gibbs (PG) and Stephen Mendes (SM) during Semester 1 of the 2005-2006 academic. The course will essentially be divided into six sections:
( 1 ) Communications Fundamentals ( 7 lectures - SM x 4, PG x 3 )
( 2 ) Amplitude Modulation ( 6 lectures – PG x 6 )
( 3 ) Frequency Modulation ( 4 lectures – SM x 4 )
( 4 ) Pulse Modulation ( 2 lectures – SM x 2 )
( 5 ) Antennas ( 3 lectures – PG x 3 )
( 6 ) Communications Systems ( 2 lectures – SM x 2 )
Class Test #1 (1-hr) will be held after Section 2 (13 lectures)
Class Test #2 (1-hr) will be held after Section 5 (22 lectures).
Laboratory sessions (4-hrs) will be from Week 2 – 13, a total of 12 weeks (48 hours).
